New to the area or the league? Here are a few questions & answers that might help you.

Where can I get most up-to-date info?

Please come back to the website for the latest updates, schedules, league information, scores, etc. We'll also have a Parent Night meeting (typically mid-March) to share info and answer any questions.

What are the fees and where does the money go?

Fees may vary by the number of players being enrolled. We offer a discount for multiple players. However, it's $100 for 1 player and the player fee goes towards offsetting costs for uniforms (including hat, jersey and pants), as well as equipment, umpires, field maintenance and insurance fees. Fact is, it's a great deal and one of the best values in sports anywhere!

When will my child be assigned to a team?

The blind draft will be conducted in early March, and this is when all registered players will be assigned to a team. The manager of your child's team will contact you in mid-March regarding what team you're on. If you do not hear from someone by March 22nd, contact the Division's Commissioner as listed on the website or Registration Form.

How are the players placed on teams?

Players go into a blind draft and their names are randomly selected, in turn, by the managers in that Division. When players move on to the next Division they are entered into the blind draft also. They do not stay with the Coach and team from the younger Division. This allows the players to play with new teammates and obtain experience with different Coaching styles.

Do you know which days my child will play on and the practice and game times?

Once the number of teams is known per division and the available fields are confirmed a schedule will be developed. Each division commissioner will notify the team managers of their practice and game fields and times by late-March. The manager will then let you know the dates and times of practices and games. Practices and games during the week start no earlier than 5:00 pm, with some Saturday/Sunday games depending upon division.

My daughter wants to play baseball, not softball. Is this OK?

YES! We're a kid-friendly league and welcome any and all ball players to enjoy this great game.

What if my child wants to play "up" in an older division?

That's fine, but keep in mind one very important thing: once you move up, you stay up for the entire season. Much work goes into the planning of teams and scheduling, as well as ordering uniforms. Changes simply cannot be made after the season starts. Please consider this when making decisions on level of play.

We have a neighbor that plays as well who's the same age as my child. Can we be placed on the same team so we can car pool?

Unfortunately, with well over 900 children in the league, it's impossible to accommodate such requests. However, upon the season starting and meeting other families, it's likely that there is someone who lives in your area that you may be able to make such arrangements with.

I have no experience with coaching or baseball. How can I help my child's team?

Your Manager usually needs help at practices and games. As a parent or guardian, you may already have the necessary skills to help. You just need a little patience and encouraging words for the players – this applies at all levels. If you have these, you may just be able to coach! We also conduct a Coach's Clinic annually before the season starts.

When does the Season start?

Weather permitting practices start in late March (usually 2 per week) and the games may start in May (2 per week with 1 practice). The season ends with a picnic and in-house Tournament at the end of June.

My child has not played before or has not played in a few years. Is this a problem?

No problem. Every year we have new players and they do fine. With the practices, they are able to catch up. It would be a good idea to tell your Coach about your situation and they will spend extra time helping the player to improve.

How can I help?

This is a volunteer league and we can use any help we can get. The league needs sponsors, umpires, help at activities, input into improving the league, board members, etc. Also you can ask your Coach what help your specific team may need. Contact any Board member as listed on the website to discuss areas you may be needed in.
